Ubity is currently looking for a Systems & Networks Administrator to join the infrastructure team and ensure the smooth operation and evolution of Ubity’s geo-distributed and redundant system and network infrastructure!

A typical day in this position at Ubity entails:
- Managing the evolution of the VMware ESXi virtualization environment (including VLAN virtual networks and data on SAN units)
- Maintaining a constant technological watch on Ubity technologies (virtualized infrastructure, system and network infrastructure management, and continuous deployment/integration)
- Managing the evolution of the system infrastructure and network geo-distributed and in high accessibility (LAN and WAN)
- Establishing and maintaining best practices in terms of system security policies and network equipment
- Working closely with the various departments and management team on projects related to the design, development, deployment, monitoring and evaluation of new products and services
- Installing, configuring and administering relational and NoSQL database servers in a distributed and highly available environment (MySQL, Redis, Memcached, MongoDB, etc.)
Our ideal candidate:
- has at least 7 years of experience as a SysAdmin
- works in a Linux environment
- perfectly masters:
- – installation, configuration, and administration of Linux servers in a geodistributed and highly accessible environment (Ubuntu, Debian, etc.)
- is familiar with:
- – system and network monitoring software (Zabbix, Nagios, etc.)
- – SAN/NAS with RAID
- – VMware ESXi-based geo-distributed virtualization environment
- – Ansible configuration management software
- – tools for consolidating and analyzing logs (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana, etc.)
- – deployment and continuous integration (CD/CI) mechanisms (Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.)
- – concepts, processes and tools related to the DevOps methodology and their implementation
- – Juniper/Cisco-based LAN and WAN networks and concepts and technologies BGP, VLAN, MPLS, QoS, etc.
- is methodical, curious, rigorous, autonomous and has a serious analytical mind
- has completed training in systems and network administration and has reached the intermediate level in the field
- has Juniper and/or Cisco, VMware, Linux or DevOps certifications
- is bilingual (spoken and written French and functional English)
